RF circuits are very sensitive to noise, especially for glitch voltages and other high-frequency harmonics. Microcontrollers will suddenly sink most of the current in each internal clock cycle because all modern microcontrollers are manufactured using CMOS technology. So, suppose the microcontroller is running at an internal clock frequency of 1MHz, and then it will draw current from the power supply at such a frequency. Without proper power supply decoupling, voltage interference can occur on the power lines. When the voltage glitch reaches the power pin of the RF PCB circuit, it may cause a malfunction if it is serious.
